Does anyone still read them and/or regularly buy them ?

If so which ones and reason why

I don't buy any but if I go to my local I will skim through the Sun for the Scottish fitba, the Mirror for the English fitba, The courier for Dee fitba and the Mail for news.

Missus sometimes buys the I which I don't really like

I've not even looked at the Record for years now.

All I recall of it was the news was rubbish and the sport was 6 pages of Celtic and 6 pages of Rangers and maybe if you were lucky 1 page for the rest of the teams.

Is it still as bad ?

I like local news - the Tele is obviously good. My family (all 18 of us) have Sunday Dinner every week, and we do the Sunday Post quiz. I don't buy tabloids. I've only buy broadsheets if I'm looking for articles for the kids to study. I don't watch the news either - I'm a sensitive wee soul and it really upsets and angers me!

The Tele is in my opinion up there with the worst of publications for journalistic quality and original reporting.

I imagine the Tully could only continue by going downmarket in terms of content, hiring less qualified staff and removing checks. The industry has been changed dramatically by the internet. 

I read the Independent if I'm travelling anywhere. Good quality journalism without left or right political bias like the Guardian, Telegraph and Times. The latter three are good for sport. Usually I only buy Scottish papers if there's something about the Dee.

I feel like I posted that quickly. The Tele is obviously good for keeping up to date with local information. You are definitely right about the writing being terrible!

After the misinformation from the Courier about our debts etc, not happy with them.
