Young Players

We had Anderson last season, and Robertson the season before break through, but that's been it a long time.

We go into todays game with 12 fit players, including 2 goalies, also have a recovering Jakubiak on the bench and apparently some guy called Panter, who I doubt actually exists. Whats happened to our youth system, I read it was highly rated, but two players in 5ish years?

Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Most if not all of our young players are out on loan at the moment and cannot be recalled until January.

Cannot play players if they're not in the squad.

So with all the injuries, other player issues and players being out on loan, our team is going to be thread bear.

I ask you though, which of our younger players do we have that could have come into that side today and made a difference?

And, I feel sorry for Panter, but we have plenty of cover for CH positions in the team right now, and I can see the young lad going back to Luton in Jan.

Your right, our youth system is not producing the players it should be. Panter should be sent back as soon as possible ie cancel his loan as he’s wasting his time up here, another one of Mcpakes mistakes waste of wage and another poor signing. He. Has wasted his budget on poor championship players. Sorry but really worrying times to be a Dee

Absolutely no idea, hence the thread.

There should be some players able to fill the bench though. Robertson and Mulligan are the only ones who seem to have the talent to make it from what little Ive read though.

If most of the players weren't paying elsewhere, then they could have been on the bench today. Maybe we have learnt from this and will think twice about putting out a lot of players on loan.

I understand why we sent them out to get game time, but at the same time I don't think we all expected the amount of players that would be out injured etc.

Mulligan scored today

Yeah Peterhead have said already that they are going to lose him in Jan and that he will be a big loss to them.

The lad is only 19 and they were raving about his talent.

Si Ferry said this about him:

Quote

Peterhead teammate and media personality Simon Ferry compared his work-rate to that of Gareth Bale, and described him as "powerful, strong and direct", and as a "Rolls-Royce" footballer.

Lets just hope we nurture and bring him on.

Gareth Bale and Kevin deBruyne in the same team would be nice. Maybe Corey Panter will turn out to be Fabio Cannavaro.

The majority of one's that have a chance are out on loan. This is part of Strachan's project of getting players playing.

I expect this will change come January.
