Apologies if there's some players that have been missed or you feel he was more of a natural in a slightly different position. Wingers are a bit of a nuisance for threads like these as often CM's or ST or RW are shunted to different positions. Top two go in the team (doesn't matter the side) and that will be our team of the decade complete.

We haven't had a winger since Jimmy Murphy

What was special about Jimmy Murphy? I have a feeling I would have loved watching him play for the Dee.

He was a winger, not a midfielder playing out wide.

He tore Aberdeen several new holes at Pittodrie in the QF second leg of the League Cup the season we met those twats over the road in the final. That Aberdeen game is one of my greatest memories of following Dundee FC - the huge trail of traffic all the way up the A90, Dundee fans standing hoping for lifts at the Forfar Road, sitting in The Paddock when a load of locals decided they were going to sing and do Nazi salutes before being emptied and escorted away by the police, the game itself where Jimmy Murphy absolutely destroyed them but where they were second best at everything (think they were League Champions at the time and we were First Division), watching the highlights in a chipper in Stonehaven on the way back then the hangover from it all next day despite not having a single drink.

Reminds me why I used to love Dundee FC.

Thanks for sharing Prince but come on, you surely don't mean that last sentence.

You wouldn't be posting on here if you didn't love this historic football club.

Don't want to go into it - will always be a Dundee fan but can't love what the club's become.

I love your honesty. Don't ever change.
