With the news of Ashcroft signing on being announced yesterday, it leaves these players as out of contract at the end of the season. Who do you keep and who do you let move on?

#8: Shaun Byrne (27) - May 2022 (Option of further year) - Keep
#10: Paul McGowan (33) - May 2022 - Keep

#26: Charlie Adam (35) - May 2022 - Keep
#7: Alex Jakubiak (24) - May 2022 - Undecided. Leaning toward let go. Big 6 month.
#9: Danny Mullen (26) - May 2022 - Keep.
#35: Jason Cummings (25) - May 2022 - Let Go.

Agree with all of that. Not sure when his current contract expires but I'd try extend Mccowans as well

He'll be 35 and as his his contribution in terms of time on the park, is reducing. Yes, I'd replace him as a club like ours can't carry passengers..

However of them all, Byrne and Mullen aside, he's the one I'd be least disappointed to see get an extension.

In my opinion we have to build our team around the likes of byrne, Anderson, Robertson,mccowan etc.Try and get them on 3 or 4 year deals so that we can maybe cash in on them and stop this 1 or 2 year deal stuff,where you are needing 6 or 7 in every window

Can't agree with that. 35 is still relatively young for a player that's never, ever relied on the more athletic side of the game such as pace etc. He's a player that if he keeps himself in shape fitness wise would be the exact same at 39 as he is now IMO.

Accept that he might not be able to do the full 90 every week or game like he's been forced into this season. Think it's more we need someone that could complement him and fill the void when he's being rested for me.
