Jack Ross has been sacked from his last two jobs (probably very harshly) so his next job is a crucial point in his career if he wants to continue in management at a decent level.

For that reason I genuinely don't think he comes anywhere near a basket case of a club like ours. Let's be honest no Dundee manager goes onto bigger and better. Dundee appear to be the hill a lot of managers come to die on.

Kevin Thomson is articulate, intelligent and well spoken, really seems to organise his team well Id take him in a heart beat.

Adam can't control himself on or off the park, he should never be afforded the opportunity of being a manager, Id rather keep McPake.

I agree on both points,,wouldn't want Adam anywhere near managers job. Agree on Kevin Thomson think he is an impressive individual but let's not forget he has been very well backed at Kelty  and don't think that's a route we should be going down at this point in time.

Successive managers at Dens have been very well backed and have failed miserably. Why wouldn't we go down the route of a manager that's been well backed at another club and actually progressed it?

The same could be said of Hartley, He did really well with Alloa on a small budget, and is doing well again with cove. However, he bombed with Falkirk and to a lesser extent us. Maybe with Alloa and Cove he found his level?

Hartley did very well at Dens while he was being backed. When the backing was removed, or at least reduced, and he had to start shopping in the bargain bin it went to pot for him. There are players in the bargain bin that will work out at Alloa and Cove but not the level he was operating at with us - hence Williams and Vincent type signings.

I also think the pressure got to him while being with us the more we lost, you could see this more and more on his face a while before he was sacked. He went from the frying pan to the fire with Falkirk and I think it took him a while to recover his confidence and mojo back.

To be fair, those two on paper were really good signings, never quite worked out that way on the park though.
