Part of this interview from 24/7 Scotland.

Good interview from McPake and Cammy, saying the right things, hopefully back them up, on the pitch.

Cammy looks and sounds more like a manager than McPake there.

McPake needs to firm up his body language in front of the cameras. He comes across as not really believing his own words and resorts to cliche filled rhetoric.

He needs to stop trying to be everyone's mate. If you're hated by your own fans you're doing something wrong. If you're hated by your opponents you're doing something right.

Whatever happened to this 💪

Said this about Mcpake months ago, maybe more.

So uninspiring, dull, not someone who would get you going pre match.

And he constantly talks up opposition, just concentrate on your responsibilities.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I think McPake is refreshingly honest as a manager. Doesn't get stuck in the cliches and says it as it is.

Every Dundee manager in my lifetime has had their interviews slagged off from Jocky being too dull, Smith being boring, Bomber being an embarrassment, McCann talking in cliches, Rae blaming it all on the players and taking no responsibility, Chisholm sounding simple etc.

The manager has to toe a certain line and anyone expecting a complete tell all would end up just slating the manager for 'hanging the players out to dry'.

Personally, I do find McPake's interviews a bit more interesting and revealing than most.
