For our much criticised defence, th last 2 performances have been solid. We are really lacking a bit of quality in the final 3rd though

thats the thing we're the 2nd lowest scorers in the league yet it hardly ever gets mentioned..on wards and upwards keep clean sheets and you only need the 1 to win the game.

That's the biggest issue.

The odd battling performance is not enough. If McPake can't sustain any form over the next 5 or 6 weeks then we're in big trouble.

This is a consistent feature under McPake, despite being allowed to sign numerous decent forwards. 

He can't set up anything other than 1 forward because he asks his front men to do too much defensively. McMullan was absolutely shattered tonight. When he did get into decent areas he was low in energy. 

McPake has a massive amount to do here to keep us up.

Based on some of the earlier season, last night (and hopefully going forward) we look okay but let's not delude ourselves into thinking we've not also been stinking at points.

Now that St Johnstone have won a game and Ross County continue to pick up points it is essential that we actually win some games.

If ever there was a proverbial Must Win game it’s Saturday v Ross County. With our terrible away record it is essential that we win some home games or we will become totally detached.

If Ross County beat us, not even the biggest optimist can claim we aren't aiming for 11 th at best. At least we will then know where we are and the last two games against St J make you  confident we are better than them. It is where we pick up the wins though.
