Okay, eh ken we've no been called, Sleeping Giants for a Long, Long, Time.

(And it's a tongue in cheek heading)....But really, is this the best we can do?

Tim Keyes will know nothing aboot Dingwall or Arbroath, but if he reads this

It's maybe time he realised Ross County, who have beat DFC THREE TIMES

this season, are from a small (low populated) Highland town called Dingwall.

Arbroath, is just outside Dundee, is no only famous for it's Smokies, but this

Season, riding high at Top Of the Championship, having beat Killie on Friday.

(This was with a Focused, Enthusiastic, Very fit Team of PART-TIME Players)

I'm not advocating DFC go part-time. But bearinging in mind above, it might

be worth considering the Clubs above, General Set-up, their CEO, & Manager?

(This is being directed NOT at DFC Fans...But at Tim Keyes, if he reads this)

Please give above comments & any that might follow Mr. Keyes some thought.

Big Big Kudos & Respect, to the Red Lichties. And their Players and Manager.

Similar Message to County for their achievement Albeit with some reluctance :tears:

We've dodged death twice.

We're now like an old relative in a nursing home that awaits a visitor ever now and then, when the visitor arrives he tells everyone how he knows he should do more but is too busy with other commitments.

Out of guilt he makes a donation and asks someone else to look after you, that person has neither the qualification nor inclination to do so but will do it because he needs the pocket money and wants the pat on the back when he reports back that you are still alive.

Just wait until the person that's meant to be looking after us messes up and we go from nursing home to life support, does he do  all he can to nurse us back to health or does he recommend pulling the plug?

Don’t agree that we’re a sleeping giant. We get decent crowds for derbies, and later SC ties, but that’s about it. We’ve got around 4,000 regular home attendees and that’s it, I’m afraid. Must admit I’m baffled, as to why Keyes keeps putting money in.

Decent post Gedee.

In case you didn't know, you can email Tim yourself at " [email protected] ". With your level headed approach, helped no doubt by the happy clappy pills, there may even be a chance he might read it.

Good luck. Please post any response received on here for us all to see.

This club has been mismanaged for the last 40 years and that is why we are in the state we are in. It will take years of hard work by the right people to turn this club around.

we were one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and the UK at some point. We were breaking transfer fees for players before the likes of United, Celtic and Rangers, and nearly the first club in the UK to win the European cup before Celtic did it (Cheated out of that win). Many people have been quoted as saying the Dundee team's at that time were one of the best they had ever seen play.

Dundee has always had a massive following, you just need to look at our crowd in the 50's and 60's to see that. The fan base is there, it's just that we do not have the team to 'wake' up that fan base.

Are we a Sleeping Giant? If we are, then it will take more than Jesus to resurrect us at the moment.

If you are baffled as to why Keyes is still here, you might be even more baffled as why other owners stay at the clubs they do due to losing a lot more money than we do.

I started going regularly in the early 70s when we had an excellent team. If you look at our crowds in 73 when we won the league Cup, you will be amazed at how poor some of our home crowds were. Even in the Bonetti period we were only getting 6,000 for run of the mill games. I wish we were a sleeping giant, but I just don’t see it.

The Bonetti is one of the era's I am talking about. So much mishandled and badly managed, it was a train wreck waiting to happen and any one who says otherwise, are lying to themselves.

We were gushing money on players that we couldn't afford, a novice manager who had no idea what he was doing and and a board and owner who let it all happen under their noses. What did we get out of it, a few great individual performances, a couple of memories beating United and 5th place, and then 8th place. With that team, that was criminal!

With these sort of decisions over the last 40 years, it's no wonder we are in the position we are in right now.

We have become a yo-yo club, and unless the structure changes inside Dens Park, that's not changing anytime soon.
