I'm not really all that bothered about last night.

We've overachieved already and it's about next season now.

Blood some youngsters and look to the future.

I guess like all Dundee fans, I thought we were really poor last night and no one likes to take five past their team but I know what you mean, we've had a great season overall and I'm looking at the 'big picture' rather than one game (ok a few games). There has been some fantastic dummy spitting going on since last night, we're 6th (probably no higher now), brilliant season as far as I'm concerned.

We've coped with the step up from the Championship so well that it's taken for granted that we're a decent mid-table Premiership team.

Expectations rise quite quickly at Dens I think. Maybe it's the same at all clubs, I don't know.

This time last year (on Mad) if you had suggested we would finish in the top 6 and had just blown a decent chance of finishing 5th you would have been banned for being a Dab.

I suggested last summer on Dee Mad we should aim for top six. The replies to the thread were "Get a grip" and "No wonder they call us the fun"

Agreed. Now it looks difficult to improve on our 6th place we should be finding out what the youngsters can do. All the others will be playing at the top of their game to try to get third place so there won't be any easy games for us.

Having said that we are here now and we should be aiming as high as we can.

It is well within the realms of possibility that a sh.1t, workmanlike team (St Johnstone) could finish third in the league this season.

An established and well financed "workmanlike team" remember, who have won the Scottish cup recently. Whether we like it or not, we're the 'new kids', on the bright side, we're on the up (despite a wee recent blip)  :D

That's right Chomp but it shows what can be achieved with the right backing and the right management set up.

It also shows what can be achieved despite getting less than 3,000 on a good spring day against one of the teams your challenging.
