To be fair they have around 200 members so are lacking our fans support. If every fan joined then the6 may be a bigger voice/ pressure group. They have suffered, in my opinion from fan fatigue, fan ownership, “Committee type image”.

Happy to debate and be corrected but we really need a mass fan group b7t how do we do this? Answers on a postcard.

Agree BCG and it does really have to be DFCSS as they have the shares and the slots on the board. Think it needs new directors and a complete reboot with clear direction and purpose. It’s a tough gig though, caught between representing the fans who will be screaming for blood versus trying to be good board members and do what’s best for the club. I’d expect they would get loads of emails saying ‘wtf are you doing , tell Nelms to sack him, what’s the point of you being on the board’.
Plenty other clubs we could learn from though.

I was asking about doing this about just after I started doing this forum.... I would rather have a slow lobotomy which started from my anal cavity while using a red hot poker!

Note before I go on - I'm not a DFCSS member and neither do I donate to the John Nelms salary foundation. I'm just a pi55ed off Dundee fan who's worried about the future of the club under the current ownership.

Don't think DD's talking about fan ownership, just fans having something of a voice.

Also, don't go thinking the DFCSS in place now is the same thing that was running the club all those years ago. Current DFCSS has no designs on club ownership (as far as I know) however have a think about it - FPS pull the plug now and the options are a) oblivion or b) DFCSS take temporary charge whilst a new investor comes in - which is the better option?

DFCSS needs fan support more now than ever because it looks a bit like to me that FPS has lost interest in Dundee FC.

For me, and this is only my opinion, it beggars belief that Dundee FC fans are happy to throw money at Dundee Fc via the foundation idea so that they can flush it away on an incompetent manager and on a CEO earning six figures but not on the chance to have a future for Dundee FC.

Lots won't agree and I hope my fears are never realised. I just don't trust FPS.

The foundation was a great idea and still is, and massive credit to the guys for setting it up and running it.

But if nothing was done about the manager, I was going to cancel my direct debit, I know it’s pennies in the grand scheme of things, but how should I give my donation every month with no questions asked to Nelms, who doesn’t seem to care anymore about my club…

Tiny tiny protest, but that’s all I personally have.

Correct.

We should have, i think, a minimum of 6 months working capital in place for an emerging.

We have nothing.

The Foundation should poll every member and ask if they want to withhold funding.

That’s up to those guys.

Would it bother Nelms? Probably not, but what’s the point of DFC with an incredibly unhappy fanbase, if the board treat us with disdain.

over 7,000 dees at the latest derby, how many want the manager to stay on?  Small small number.

But of course Nelms knows best.
