The Snug at the end of St Salvador St, Halleys and the bow rig tap o the hill, The Shakey half way doon the hill, Clippie road had 3 if not 4.

Brilliant Huggs.

Gives me a wee glimpse into the past.

There have been quite a few times over the years where some random has shouted something at the bottom of the hill when they saw my scarf. I think there are a lot of Dees who have found something else to do with their time. They are still Dees though. I hope they still enjoy us winning, even if they don't make games.

Too young to say what went on in the 60s but in the late 70s after the game usually involved the following,

1. Chasing the away fans to their buses parked at Gussie Park.

2. Panning in aforementioned bus windees.

3. Trip to the newsagent for the Sporting Post.

Having a wee joke with my first two answers, but seeing i was too young for pubs in the 70s  It was home on the bus, get my tea, then off to the local newsagent to get the Sporting Post which usually arrived anytime between 6 30 and 7 pm.

Always a large q  for the Post and very often sold out if you did not get in quick enough.

I was just a wee lad in the 60s and early 70s so went with my old man.  He was never one for a pint before or after the game so it was head to the top of the Derry steps to wait the final whistle and then a mad dash across Dens Road to get the dupee parked in that wee crescent opposite to get home to Ardler.  Didn't get to read the Sporting Post until later when my old man would get back from his Saturday night pints along with the SP and a Chinese with chips and a banana fritter.
