I feel like the creators of this site have freed us from some of the horrible, personal stuff that tend to ruin online message boards.

How do others feel?

I was thinking that this site might be doing more to help our club than was realised. It seems to me that discussion is encouraged and that helps the fans to understand that there are different points of view.

OK the guys who have said right from the first day of his appointment that McPake was never good enough probably have not changed their mind but I don't recall any of them wishing our club would lose a game just because that would suit their point of view.

That's the key point everyone on here is a Dee. We criticise in the hope that our comments will help the club not drag it down.

I particularly support the comments about apathy and the possibility of not renewing Season Tickets. To me that is a worrying prospect and it seems that everything is being gambled on McPake being able to produce winning results. 

We seem to be a one man band and perhaps that is something that should be addressed.

I also think that it might be helpful if DFCSS and DSA used this site to publicise their activities.

I know I am part of an aging demographic who don't use Twitter or Facebook so for me this forum is by far the best source of chat about our club.

Probably because of my age/ability...

I am not in any way up to date, with all the advances in the Techy World ... Other forums & other forms of social media, do not interest me at all. But although I don't have points of comparison, I doubt (know)

I would not feel quite at home on any other Forum, as I do here on the DBF.

I agree, credit should go to the creators of this sight, certainly for the time, hard work & funds (their own money) they put into here; Scott, John, Moderators, Active Staff, Contributors & even us members (on a good day) are all deserving of a Big Thank You, & if no a Big Hug  ...Certainly a Big Pat on the Back

It  must be near impossible to get the balance just right on a forum, but for my pespective it is as near ,as I could ever want. It educates, entertains, informs, stmulated opinions & discussions (helps me get through a lonely day) ....And still allows some room & space for some of my more fun, mad, & dafter moments 

And on that last point (Message to John)...

John, you can keep sending me as many threatening emails as you want...

As well as thon strange, mysterious, dark, middle o' the night phone calls...
