This is McCann/Mcintyre all over again.

2 wins, clean sheets.......then bring in quite possibly the biggest laughing stock in Scottish football.

Only Dundee, on par with the bomber fiasco

Both managers deserved the sack. When is the man who hires these people going to be held accountable? Its not a choice between keeping McPake and hiring McGhee

We can't be a club who can't sack managers because of the fear the new man will be worse. That's incompetence from whoever is making these decisions. Nelms needs removed and replaced with a footballing man

I don't think that's comparable at all.

McGhee has worked at a very high level in the game. Bomber hadn't worked at that level as manager and neither has McIntyre. Worth noting that Malky Mackay was out the dugout for a much longer period of time than McGhee also.

I'm not particularly happy with the supposed news, but we haven't had a manager with any sort of proper track record for a long time.

My opinion is that Nelms is flying blind again here but Strachan thinks McGhee has enough experience to get us out of it. He may be right.

Mcpake should have been emptied months ago.

Nelms delaying it, has led to this mess we are in now, where no half decent manager takes a job on till the end of the season.

Absolutely correct.

My feeling is this is not a snap decision however. Nelms must have been looking at it for at least a few weeks.

Ross was never in the frame. If it is McGhee he must have had a heads up.

It should have been done after County

no ifs or buts.

0-5 from a team that couldn’t win a game, and he was still allowed to plunder on.

Mcinnes would have came in, assessed the squad, and brought reinforcements in January.

No Nelms waits till late February, when the window has shut.

I agree.

The 5 nil home defeat was a trigger point. But Nelms opted to give McPake every chance to redeem things. However, the Livi game away was so bad I think the decision was made then. The problem at that point is McGhee might not have been able to assess the squad and bring in anyone else in the 2 weeks remaining of the window.
