Dee4life Membership Poll

Short and sweet folks. Felt it was appropriate and interesting following on from the discussions about the trust, to see the demographic of members on the forum.

If your an ex-member or never have been, maybe you could tell us your thoughts as to why. Would surely help the current board understand how to attract new blood imo.

I have never felt that there has been harmony within Dee4life, there appears to be a lot of bickering, infighting, accusations of blazer hunting etc, add in a general disconnect with the club and it's a group that I never really wanted to be part of.

Would I join now? Possibly.

Would I be an active member of Dee4life? Depends on a lot of factors

How do Dee4life attract new members? We've already shared a few ideas Davie

I’d never rejoin,  the minute they withheld funds from the club that was it for me and any organisation that has Islay on the committee says it all.

Interesting comment. When were funds, to which the club was fully entitled, withheld?

Joined to 'do my bit' and help save our great club. I guess I let my membership lapse due to apathy more than anything else plus an early expectation that the club was on the up again after the first couple of years of the Yanks in charge.

Would I join again? Quite possibly, no make that more than likely. I'm deeply concerned though that even with a much bigger membership than at present the Board would continue not to engage with the group

I was a member but for no particular reason I never renewed, I was never asked to renew and it seems like the drive and recruitment faded away. 

I was a member of the Foundation but have subsequently stopped that due to having completely no say in where the money goes. (also the fact that turning up at dens and its a complete flea tip pisses me off) If it went to the upkeep of Dens or youth development then I would once again take up membership. I do buy a ST every season and will continue to do so even though I only make 10 or so home games per season.

Like BigG above, I was a member and still receive the occasional e-mail but haven't donated/paid for membership in a good 5-6 year and not had any encouragement to renew.

As above like BigG I did join but I guess that was over a year ago so will be lapsed now but had no communication to say it was due for renewal or would have renewed straight away, think we all need to think about joining up and change things for the better from inside the organisation, then think about presenting the “new” Dee4Life to JN and see if we can then get some dialogue going as to how to take things forward. Was always taught that the hardest thing to change in any organisation is the culture, and it certainly seems that the culture needs changing here.

I was a member but lapsed my membership probably because it wasn't in the public eye over the past few years. I will rejoin if someone can point me in the right direction?
