On the contrary the old firm are notorious for refusing to agree to reduced prices. Firstly they basically don't care what other clubs think or want and invariably call for the 'normal' high pricing. Secondly they think that if they agree to reduced pricing at other grounds then the orcs will want the same for home games and that ain't gonna happen. You only have to look how they manage to manipulate the tv games to the point that their home league games are rarely televised so as not to affect their crowds/income but whichever of the in firm are away are almost always on the telly affecting the home crowd all the time. It is one of the many ways, corrupt ways, that the in firm manipulate and 'rape' scottish football. Of course JN may well have agreed that £30 is a good idea but I wouldn't take Cran's word for it; he probably gets more stories off here that through genuine sources.

Not a great fan of Cran either, but doubt he would say that if it wasn’t true.

Dundee were happy with £30, Nelms is comfortable with the pricing according to George Cran.

Say even drop them to £25

works out less than £10,000

Once gate is split etc

While the prices are ridiculous especially for home fans I can see why the club charge it... They'll sell out regardless of cost and I'm pretty sure we'd have to get extra police in to not keep an eye on them.

Surely if fans would be prepared to pay £27 for our biggest home non league game of the season, then they'd be prepared to pay £30?

I think what we've got here is season ticket holders who part with their cash in the summer that are in shock with the pricing.

I've not had a season ticket the last few seasons but buy a ticket for every game I can make and have been paying 30 for derbies and old firm games the last few seasons so the cup tie is the going rate as far as I see it.

Pretty sure Mr Sensible had a go a few weeks back at fans always having excuses for not attending big games other than derbies these days.

Well here we are with a decent KO time for the pub before and after the game with a home Scottish cup quarter final tie against Rangers who we played well against earlier in the season at Dens and all you read on the replies on social media is eh'm no going because it's £30 instead of £20/£25.

I'm looking forward to it anyway.

The type of occasion you want to see your team in and we don't make anywhere near enough the last 15 years.

Take it you’ve no noticed the rising price in petrol and gas/electricity and food etc

As has been said elsewhere why not charge £15 for the league game vs Rangers if you've bought a cup ticket?

Impossible. Both clubs have to agree, not just home.

Are the club immune to these increases?

£25/£30, it won’t make a difference.
