What a staggering omission. He's 20 and approaching 50 first-team league appearances and has been our best player on a number of occasions.

Anderson is regularly criticised on here for his performances, and many think he shouldn't be starting at all. His ball retention is very poor for. midfielder, and that's vital for international fitba, he either isn't ready, or hasn't developed enough to be a squad regular for Scotland at the moment.

Max should be in that squad no doubt about it. Ridiculous decision

Max played a key role in rescuing our season last spring when Adam and McGhee were out and we looked unlikely to make the play-offs.

We were revitalised by a rampaging teenager in the midfielder. Of course he's not a complete player yet and is finding the top flight challenging but I suspect every player in that U21s squad has flaws that need worked on.

Gavin Rae was regularly criticised when he was 20 but he clearly had something special. I think Max has similar potential.

Ross Graham was on loan at Elgin a while back.  He looked a really good prospect and is a nice lad too so I'm not at all surprised he is in the squad.

Yes pick him cause he’s a nice lad. Makes sense
