Time for Change: The Get It All Off Your Chest Thread.

Recommended Posts

Never been so fucked off with the way our club is being run right now. We seem to be a shambles from top to bottom.

If Tim Keyes reads this forum, then you really need to take notice of what is going on with the club, the players and the fans and realise that there is something very wrong at Dundee Football Club right now.

John Nelms heart is in the right place, but he is not the person to run the football side of this club.

We have gone from one tragedy to another in the form of poor managers chosen at the drop of a hat, by someone who is under qualified for the role. McCann, McInDabire, McPake and McGhee have all been systematic failures and all hired by the same man.

This site raised over £400 for player sponsorship this year and we still cannot get someone at the club to help us, even after 4 of us here have been in contact with the club many times over this issue. It's an utter disgrace and a shambles when people are giving you money and you are treated as if you don't exist at times.

I don't want FPS to leave, but I really do wish that they started acting a lot more professionally and to take the fans and their issues seriously. Something has to change now.

*End Rant!*

Walked out after 40 mins of Livvy game, first time I’ve left Dens before half time in 37 years supporting them.

Not been back and have little desire to go back.

Admire the folk that went today, guys trying to get a dialogue with Nelms, but while he is here, we are fecked.

We will make the McIntyre team look good when we go down.

Only Dundee can fail to push on from the high we all felt after the Killie play off game.

Criminal how the club has been run under Nelms.

I have no idea what FPS' long term plans are.. or indeed, if they actually have any long term plans anymore.. Since the Hartley era ended, it's been stumbling from one major balls up to the next... To be fair to Nelms we all wanted him to take advice from a football person when he made his latest management appointment.. Just our luck it was wee Gordon who  wanted his best mate to get the gig..I can't talk on the subject of the new stadium as I don't know the details but, on all other fronts, it looks like Nelms is out of his depth. I mentioned in another thread that if you looked at his accomplishments while being head honcho over the last ten years, it doesn't make for pleasant viewing. The product, on and off of the park, is worse. he's losing the fan base big time and, what's really alarming, he seems to give less than zero fucks about doing so..It's almost reached the point of me thinking they are getting a thrill out of deliberately running the club into the ground and into oblivion.

I can only imagine they are still clinging to it all coming good if they ever get the new stadium off the drawing board and into reality.. It's either that or FPS cutting their losses and coming up with an exit strategy.. because, although they have to commended for pumping the cash in and supporting their managers, it's not worked. The club is in a worse position, arguably not in a financial sense but in all other aspects, whichever way you look at it..

If they stay. And get the old Blankety Blank chequebook and pen out in the summer.. it'll be all change in playing staff and management.. As much as I don't think McGhee is the man, looking at previous appointments. I am very careful about what I wish for these days.

At present we can't live with them and we can't live without them and we're at the stage where we're looking for change but have no idea what change will mean for the club. We're caught between a rock and a hard place and it's heartbreaking watching our club suffering and on the verge of another relegation and potentially another financial meltdown. When your MD can't even be arsed to attend your games then you know you're in trouble and he's getting fed up of his wee toy. I know that he's put down firm roots here and is putting down more but I fear he can walk away at the drop of a hat with the money that he's made out of us in terms of his 6 figure salary on top of his various other business interests. It's now or never if we're gonna pull rank as a support and force change in some meaningful shape or form. Fans are walking away and time really isn't on our side.

I know it feels like a really dark moment for DFC but I think it's a positive that Dees are rebelling against the incompetence and demanding change.

If forcing Nelms out means Keyes wants to hurt us and saddle us with debt then we'll just need to deal with it.

The status quo is finished, and today's crowd tells you that.

Number one priority.. once our relegation is confirmed then chase McGhee and that other bellend away tae feck.

Number Two .. New manager appointment. Don’t think we will get Jack Ross or the likes and I would suggest Ian Murray fae Airdrie.( if the yanks are still interested in all things DFC) and give him time to build for the new season.

Number Three .. Move on the over payed and dead wood.. focus on the best emerging young players from Div 1 and 2. Sure Murray would know them.

Number 3 .. Tell Strachan to bolt

Number 4 .. Tim Keyes tell Nelms to get on his bike back to Texes or where the fuk he is from

Number 5 .. Employ a competent CEO or Whatever to run things correctly

( not in that particular order)

All assuming Keyes still wants to own DFC
