We all want to be a prominent team in Scotland's top flight but in terms of actually watching games, do you prefer Dundee being in the top two of the Championship or the bottom two of Premiership?

Voter names are not public for this poll because I want folk to be honest without having to justify themselves.

As a remote fan. I'd have to say the top league is much better as the quality of games and general media coverage is better.  Funnily enough, the Dees were on TV more last season as top dogs (I know...I know...) than this season.

End of the day, we need to be in the top league.

For club finance and the general standing of the club, the top league is the only place to be.

For watching the club win more games, less hassle getting in, away days, enjoying football,  I actually prefer the Chamionship where we are generally a big fish in a wee pond. I realise this is not good though and only feel that way because our latter day times in the Premiership have just been an unrelenting grind against relegation

I agree only because we seem to feck it up so badly everytime we arrive in the Premiership so its painful when it should be far more enjoyable than the Championship.

Nigh on half of the folk who answered didn't think it was a stupid question though.

Very sad, settling for a lower league because we might win a few more games. So do we refuse promotion then and just stay in the championship?

I feel the question was more inappropriate than stupid. After nearly sixty years supporting this football club I have no doubt whatsoever as to what level we should be playing at.

I remember that being a  Sunday Boys Club mentality......if we win the league this season, we'll be in the harder league next season.......we'll throw the last couple of games and stay in the easy league next season.

We're Dundee FC, we should be aiming to play at the highest level possible, if we get relegated then we look to bounce back at the first attempt then learn from the mistakes we made this time.

What a stupid question, all that's wrong with the club if we are happy to settle for the championship

Thats your opinion which you are entitled to but do you have too be such a dick when other people have a different opinion.

I think the novelety of the Premier League wears thin pretty quickly. Especially given how sh**e we are these days.

Personally quite like the championship as I enjoy going to these proper old school grounds like Cappilelow, Palmerston etc. Really enjoy the Friday coverage of the championship on BBC as well.

One of my favourite seasons following Dundee was the promotion season in the late 90's when we were unbeaten away for months.

I think the question in its self was double barrelled. It made you question which was better of the two in relation to how the 'person' would feel about being in those different positions.

If the question were; "Would you prefer to be in the bottom half of the premiership or the top half of the championship each year?" then you would have had different results in this poll.

However, the question only asks if you would prefer being in the bottom two of the premiership or top two of the championship. So you are then only left with a possible relegation or promotion scenario and nothing else.

Personally, I would prefer being promoted to being relegated any day of the week. Tell me, what would you rather feel right now, the feeling of being promoted in 2014/2021 to being relegated in 2019/2022?
