Sailor Hunter, Dave Halliday, Albert Juliussen, Three of the greatest Dees ever but there might not be any Dees alive that remember them.

Juliussen scored 15 goals in 3 games in May 1947. Amazing. Quite possibly the greatest 3 game-spell ever in world football.

My old man has mentioned Juliussen a few times but he'd have only been 8 so I'm not sure how much he actually remembers.

Auld man remembers him scoring 6 against QOS,one of them he hit so hard it took keeper in net with it!

Stiil going to Dens to this day,and if you mention strikers,he will always tell you,none could even come close to Juliussen,and Gillie,best he's seen.

My dad used to tell me about "Hot Shot Julie". Apparently he lived up the road from him in Scott Street and was a really good guy.
My dad told me about the amazing goal record but also said that "sometimes, Julie couldn't hit a barn door from 6 feet!".
Just shows Dee fans were difficult to please all the time even back in 1947. My dad was 14 back then.
