Can we not put all these “news anchor” stories together in an appropriate section on its own under a suitable banner as described - local tosh.

They were in their section under "news" but unfortunately, nobody looked at them or commented on them so we're moved to this section.

Could be a good opportunity for a poll 😁😅😁

To be honest, wherever the "Local Tosh" is placed in the forum, it's unlikely I'll even bother to "click-on " to it.

It's not so much because it's "mostly rubbish" ... Because we get our fair share of nonsense on here as well

(Eh ken cause eh'm mainly resposible for much of it) :bye:

The main reason I don't bother reading it ... Is because I can't ...  (Used up my Free Quota)

Agree, hence reason for keeping it separate.

Agree Gedee. I also have used up my free quota so it is a pity we couldn't copy and paste their stuff so that they could learn how much we love their articles. I have argued in the past that putting them in a separate folder made it very likely that they would be unread, but now the new limits seem to make any publication of them a waste of effort for Thedarkblues forum. Putting them in the Main run of threads seems to generate more comment from those who can access them.

If you open up the links using 'incognito mode' (right click if on computer/hold the link if on mobile for those options don't come up) and then the 'free quota' changes to 'unlimited access'.

@gedee

@BCram

@BobbytheBlues

Thank you Ludo, your instruction seem very simple.

Although, do I have to register before I can access?

If so, I'll not bother, as I am no that bothered anyay.

It's under its correct section of Dundee Football club.

If you don't want to read the posts, put the News Anchor on ignore, problem sorted.

Thanks to both Ludo & Admin John (And anyone else who explained "access") :wub:

I think Ludo was exactly on the mark when mentioning "incognito" And on that basis, for those of you, who maybe (like myself) are less techy, this is how it worked for me; Laid out in Easy (child-like) Stages....

To view "News Anchor Article Post....

1) When entered Post..."view the full article"...Right Click.

2) On List that appears, press left click on "Private Window"

3) Click on I Accept (In new small box within bigger box that appears on screen)

4) Click on "Welcome to Courier"

5) Into Article.

6) Scroll down page to read the article.

Apologies to anyone, if these instructions are in over-simplified form. But it seems to work for me.

Ludo's instructions are of course correct...As is Admin John's (re-ignore)

But getting "easy access" can maybe stimulate further forum discussion.
