Pretty sure this will go through in a couple of weeks and we will vote in favour.

Not convinced the fans across the country will be as supportive as the clubs themselves.

Personally speaking,  if this comes to the Premiership next season, relegation has never looked so good.

Will guarantee the old firm at least 40 penalties a season and playing against 9 or 10 opposition players every game.

Not convinced this is the way to go. The matchday experience is bad enough without being kept in the dark as officials head over to a monitor to watch images that the fans at the game cannot see. The stats suggest that most refs will remain to be OF fans so it ain't likely to improve the amount of correct decisions for non OF clubs.

We can barely even get a decent replay on Sportscene because the camera angles are so bad. Assuming this would need to be sorted out first!

Not for VAR at all. Penalties like the one given against us the other week will still be given (to certain teams, of course). I don't fancy hanging around for a couple of minutes after a goal has been scored, completely in the dark, whilst someone in a TV studio miles away decides if someone's armpit is playing them onside or not. The Old Firm will want it though, so it will go through. No doubt about that.

On the basis of reaching the correct decision, with having at hand, more detailed, accurate information, I was of the belief, that there was no doubt, that we should make use of this (I believe I still am) ... But Im also open to others views here & may well be convinced, that I've got this wrong.

I'm no expert on the following sports, but I do watch them on TV;

Tennis, Horse Racing, Rugby. And it seems to work well for them.

Difference with tennis and Horse racing is it is a clear cut decision. It is either yes or no with no interpretation of rules. Even in rugby there can be decisions which people do not agree with regularly.

I am full for using VAR. Yes their might still be old firm bias on the use of it but if they give things that are clearly wrong they can no longer just use the excuse of didn't see it they will need to answer questions on why it was still given. Also games against old firm are only a small percentage of games teams play each year and in truth VAR will likely not affected results of that many games against the Old firm but it will help improve decisions in the rest of the games. We've certainly been on the wrong end of a fair number of bad decisions against the rest of the league this season.

Yeah it has worked well there for years which is why I can’t fathom why it’s such a total shambles for football!

Biggest them for me is the cost. Sure I read it would cost clubs £100k+ annually a year which is around 300+ adult season tickets.

Its not going to help standard of refs, doesn’t overturn much either, the 2 Rangers pens last couple of weeks probably would still have been given.

Prob get away from Dens at 17.30 on a Saturday now!!
