The sad thing is both statements are true.

Gowser would be fine with runners around him, playing in a more central role, unfortunately the midfield are of similar type.

Playing him out left is not fair to him.. any player getting picked in a. position that they don't excel in .. is just getting hung out to dry..

Gowser is a cult hero, he would get a cheer if he ran out, tripped over his feet and was then took off.

Unfortunately with our squad you can say the same about Adam and to an extent Byrne.  All good football players with the ball at their feet but all need the legs of someone like Mulligan.

Gowers, Max and Cammy were all playing at the very top of their game till the half hour mark , we’ll never know if MCGhee changed things or they just fell out the game , my money is on McGhee telling them to hold back and stop saints from scoring

Say what you want about McPake, crap manager, mcfake etc. but he clearly cares about the club to still be tweeting and debating with fans, I'll say this I reckon he would have won at least one game in the time McGhee has been manager !
