The Dark Blues Forum Player of the Season 2021/22 Season

As the season nears its conclusion, the Dark blues members can now vote for their Player and Young Player of the Season.

Voting is open now, with the poll closing at 3pm on Saturday 15th May.

It's between Sweeney, Adam & McMullan for me.

McMullan's assists have been brilliant, but he's too hit or miss in general to get the nod for me.

Sweeney has been very impressive, but the winner has to be Adam. The points gained when he's on the pitch vs when he's not is unbelievable. The influence he has on the team is still top notch even if he hasn't been 100% this season. We've ran him into the ground and it's unfair to ask him to be the main man every single second he's on the pitch at his age. He's single handedly dragged us to points this season such as Aberdeen at home, his goal against United and his ragdolling of Scott Brown being the three best memories.

Without Adam on the pitch, we'd have not seen many goals this season.

Going with Sweeney. After a slow start he's went on to make 35 appearances and counting and has been a rock at heart of a pretty shaky defence. McMullan, as you say, is too inconsistent and the other main contender, Adam, is for me a bit of shoe in to be a POTY contender because the standard of, and lack of, match winners in our squad is so, so lacking. He's great on his day but imo he's the (at times) answer to our problems and the cause of them at the same time.

I think overall sweeney but byrne was our best player by far before his injury. Max Anderson easily young player

Sweeney by a country mile.

Hopefully we can keep him for next season, and build a squad around players like him.

Looking at that list of "senior" players is brutal and brings it home how bad we are . Anderson for young player

Sweeney for his consistency. Would have picked Charlie if he played more often.

And he probably was the one who put the final nail in the coffin with that pass back over the goal mouth yesterday!
