Is There an Outside Chance Charlie Adam Will Be Offered the Dundee Manager's Job?

For those who can access Today's Courier; What do you think?

It seemed to me, he is putting out big strong hints for the Job)

Is he ready for step up? Could he do it (If Jn's going that way)

Heard his interview on the radio last night driving home after the match.

Said he has a big decision to make in the next couple of weeks about staying.

Will depend on who the manager is and what they want.

Would absolutely love to be a manager but doesn't want to talk about it further until the last game is out the way as that's the focus.

CW if he was offered the position with DFC, do you think he'd take it/And could he do it? :chin:

I AM CERTAINLY NOT ENCOURAGING JOHN NELMS TO GO FOR THE  "CHEAPER OPTION"

(But by now, you all know who'd I Iike to see appointed)

I definitely think he'd take it.

After McPake though..I think it's the last thing in the world we should be doing as a football club, which is throwing someone with zero experience into a massive pressure and expectancy role for a club that will more than likely be in the Championship and has mid table top flight aspirations.

As an assistant manager? No problem.

Hello again CW ... There is no reason to disagree with any of your comments.

Certainly would not like to go through another long period of pain & suffering with an inexperienced manager that could potentially wreck our club. Would if pos. like to see him still in some way, stay connected to DFC (Although I am not sure in what role)

A big "if" but if someone like Jack Ross was appointed,... But were it to happen, they would have to decide who they wanted as an assistant (Their own man in other words)..

Whatever way it goes JN....

PLEASE LET GET IT RIGHT.

I think there is a chance, wether that’s the right thing to do is another thing.

The only way I'd ever accept Charlie Adam as our next manager is if it was a 50/50 choice between him and Mark McGhee. In every other scenario he should absolutely be nowhere near the managers job.

A player/coach, player/youth coach or player/assistant with the idea that he can takeover in the future would be a good idea IMO.

Now though? Absolutely mental and as bad as keeping McGhee on.

Would like him to be offered a year's deal as a player with some coaching responsibility with one of the youth teams. Not sure if the U20 league will be back up and running, but if it did we could move Robertson into the U20 job and Adam into the U18 job. Would be a good way to keep him around.
