If it is a young coach I'd quite like Darren O'Dea. He knows the club and many of the players, has his coaching badges, seems quite intelligent, is very passionate, has experience of playing in several countries where he must have made contacts, has coached at us  Motherwell and Celtic and has played under some top managers. He also seems very approachable.

He seems like a more polished McPake to me.

I can see it being Adam & Strachan Jr.

I have absolutely zero confidence in us appointing someone with a good track record like Ross. It'll be a young coach with no management experience I think. It's what Nelms seems to like. At the very least, they should have some experience being part of a coaching set up or as an assistant to someone else, a bit like Davidson before he got the Saints job.

My guess is it'll be Adam, with an 'experienced' assistant and Strachan as DoF.

I thought we had that as a potential formula with jimmy nicol but didn’t seem to work

I’d bite your arm off for Jack Ross but with todays news I think that’s unlikely now. I can see a younger coach being appointed like Gavin Strachan, Scott Brown, Darren O Dea. Adam doesn’t have his badges yet I don’t think so don’t think he will get top job. If we do go down young coach I’d go for Kevin Thomson.

However I’d try and get Tony Docherty. Very well respected in the game and players all speak highly about him.

But we just know it’s going to be McGhee on a Three year deal as that’s the Dundee way 🙁🙁
