Dave Mackay was doing the post-match interview and was asked if he'd be at the club next season and he replied: 'No idea. We’re all in for meetings tomorrow. At the minute I’m just disappointed we couldn’t finish on a high.'

He went on to say: 'There will be some people moving on, others staying, but it’s a chance now for the club to rebuild to make sure the next time we get back to the Premiership, in hopefully a year’s time, it is in a much better place to sustain it.'

So I guess we might get some news tomorrow.

The correct manager needs put in place quite soon though, key word being correct.

2 said to me its a meeting with Nelms and they were told its a clear the air meeting so they said he is getting some home truths about stuff.

I’d assume the new director of football could be making the decisions on who’s staying and who’s not. I’d also expect the new director of football to be using his network to earmark potential signings for next season to run past the new manager or first team head coach that he employs.

There's also a very good possibility that the DoF has held in-depth discussions with the new manager/coach and they’ve decided already who’s staying/going. Club doing it this week instead of waiting till appointment is announced is being pro active and getting ahead of the game?

Spoke to a Forfar ST holder today, he had nothing against young Luke Strachan but said he was nowhere near the quality a club of Dundee's stature should be considering for their first team.

When did the Club officially announce a new DoF position, why, outlining the role and responsibilities and who it is?

Charlie's on the expenses and working with Talksport in Seville. Flew out yesterday.
