Next Season

After a horrible season, we can only look forward and there are a few positives to hang on to

• We will have a new manager
• We will have (some) new players
• We will have different tactics
• We will win a lot more games
• We won't be getting skelped by Celtic
• We will be in the mix for promotion
• The supporters will be there (maybe not as many, but if we have a winning team they will return)
• The Championship is weaker than previous years (2 years ago us and Hearts for instance)
• We have a parachute payment

Under no illusions of the task ahead, but I believe we can get back in one year. I am not a "happy clapper" optimist, but I have been a supporter for a long time and the data points to a successful season, dependent on items 1-3.

Seems I'm not the only who just asks for clarity when someone posts something they don't understand.

We have a record of finishing high up in the championship.  Out of 11 seasons we have finished top 4 nine times. Before the play-offs were introduced that meant nothing but now guarantees a chance to get promoted.

Good post & an appreciated effort to add a bit positivity & enthusuiasm to/for the season ahead.

I can confirm you are not an official member. But may I remind you, being in our present position,

if you decide in future to join (there is only me left) I will make sure you're made very welcome

I didn't ask for clarity as such, I only asked what data GordonDee was using and he came back with a polite reply. But if you feel it necessary to now jump on everything I post then fair enough, I'm not the first to get this treatment from you and I doubt I'll be the last. Fortunately I'm long enough in the tooth, and thick skinned enough, not to care.

I'd like to think, some posters can be "abrupt &/or sharp" without being aware of it Prince.

I don't think I am super-sensitive in this area. But in my own posts/responses I try to refrain.

There's nothing to be gained in this approach imo. Other than posts being ignored/escalation

Interesting take on your personal approach earlier, simply because challenged?  Tell you what I'll just ignore your posts and you can ignore mine? Make it easy for all though I do look forward to seeing if the new manager meets your criteria

Quite right Craigowl ... Any contribution, by yourself (or others) towards keeping the peace, whilst at the same time, helping to maintain the DBF, as the still leading, consistent, DFC Forum on the Web (imo) has got to be something we all want to get behind.

Could be right though, aboot "Big Bad Prince" & his Over-Aggressive & Sharp, Abrupt Comments

He can be, a bit scary at times

I do try to keep an eye on him

Gently cause he's my freend

Prince & I Became very friendly during the long periods we spent together on the naughty step
