Totally agree 2 up and down was always the way it was then they changed it that only the champions got promoted from the Championship or Div 1 as it used to be called.

The quicker they reconstruct the leagues the better it will be for Scottish football on a national and local level.

But remember there was going to be league reconstruction when our Covid vote went belly up but Utd, Aberdeen and Saints all voted against it, benefited Saints tonight who would have been relegated with the 2 up 2 down rule.

We often blame the Old Firm for all Scottish football woes but it tends to be these middle of the road teams that are against change.

I'm going to say no but I reckon the relief would probably warrant some degree of celebration.

I think you get caught up in the moment at these play offs so we'd probably be the same if we were the Premiership team that survived.

Totally agree, Arbroaths great season is all for nothing while Saints crap season is rewarded. Totally unfair, the Premiership in England have the best system.

We should be up there but you just never know with this division, i expect a strong challenge from Partick Thistle   ICT wont be far away and i would not discount Hamilton Accies either.

It will be a tough division to get out of i have no doubts.

Caley need to retool significantly, admittedly they've done that well in the past but with Billy Dodds in charge I'm not worried.

Partick are losing their top players and would need some shrewd business by Jobbie to compete.

Raith will need Ian Murray to finally kick on and not bottle a promotion challenge for a change.

Arbroath won't manage that again (surely?).

Cove Rangers and Queen's Park will probably come in and improve, but Cove won't be full-time and QPFC will struggle to stay up.

Accies, Morton and Ayr Utd will all be mediocre pish (an insult to the word mediocre actually imo).

 

I don't think we could've asked for an easier division. Not saying we will make it easy for ourselves, I'm sure there will be plenty fuck-ups along the way, but the title is right there for the taking.

We have to make the investments and get a quality manager and a few better quality additional players. These players will fall into two categories ( 1. Players with the skill to turn a game, 2. Hard nosed kick everything that moves type, we have to stop being bullied). You don't win the championship with skill alone.
