Been playing same booking for 33 years but clock ticking ever quicker.

My hip bothers me big time.

Obviously get your hip checked out and see if the Doctor recommends you packing it in, but if you're still enjoying it, keep at it! You see 60-odd year olds playing squash which is probably more demanding than 5s so no reason to give it up if you still feel up to it!

Used to play Mon,Thurs,Sat,Sun.Gradually reduced that to just Sat.Stopped for a fair bit due to injury/illness,then bit the bullet and decided to go back.Being a bit of a Jim McAllister type,my years of running aboot like a Feckin numpty finally took their toll and my knee telt me it was time to stop acting like a teenager and grow up.Now hanging on to faint memories of running aboot The Dick McTaggart,Lynch and Douglas thinking I was a player.

There the type o 60 year aulds that are capable o running marathons, though there are a few o them still play.

Aulder boys drop oot and have to be replaced with younger guys so pace never really lets up. We play 6 a side which closes Doon the space a bit but still knackering.

When you enjoy something its a b****r to jack.

I had to give up playing in my late 30's because of my knees. Played Sunday league up until then as well. Would still love to play but my body says no. Cycle and play badminton now, probably not enough though :)

Love walking but since my dogs passed away don't do that nearly enough. It does seem strange to go for a walk without a dog
