Amid all the understandable doom and gloom

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd put up a positive post regarding the on field situation looking at the current squad.

In Legzdins I think we have a fairly good keeper with the promising Sharp as back-up.

In Cammy and Marshall we have 2 of the better full backs for this league.

At CH I don't see any better players in the league for the position than ashcroft and sweeney with decent back-up in mcghee.

In midfield I think we're pretty strong with the emergence of Max and josh plus Gowser, Byrne and finn.

Out wide I think we have very good options with McGinn, McCowan and McMullan who should provide plenty of assists.

Up front I think Sheridan if fit and Rudden will cause real problems for teams at this level.

I haven't mentioned other squad players Lawlor, Chapman and Jakubiak nor promising youngsters like Fisher, Wilkie and Cameron who all have a chance imo.

Sharp has to go out on loan imo as do one or two others maybe too. Lawlor I'd like to see the back of (gone, not his shirt number), Chapman well the juries still out on him and probably likewise with Jakubiak. The rest I think make up a pretty decent squad but will require reinforcements.

Yup. I think we could do with a defender who can play CH or FB, a creative midfielder (kerr Mcinroy looks a player) and a quick striker minimum.

And....

A new pitch

a new mascot

U13s winning in Manchester against both Utd and City

Luke Graham re signs as do a few more decent prospects ( so I’ve been told)

our community work looks good

we have started Dee tots to catch them young.

Am I clutching at straws here or are these real positives for the club? We do now need a decent manager and plan.

I also believe the Man Utd had a certain young lad playing by the name of Ronaldo.

With Hibs signing Marshall and Matt Macey his competition, that Dabrowski they have seems to be out of the picture. Think he's a bit better than that Macey tbh and would be excellent competition for Legzdins if we brought him in on loan with Sharp getting regular football elsewhere.

How long is McInroy at Ayr for from Celtic? I think he is 21 so maybe make or break time for him as far as Celtic are concerned.

Ayr confirmed he's not staying with them. He's out of contract at Celtic this summer but as far as I'm aware they haven't announced any squad updates yet apart from Bitton and Rogic leaving.

Agree with most of that other than the bit about the midfield. In my opinion, none of those mentioned can create play. Anderson is a grafter, Mulligan a box to box midfielder , McGowan too auld, Robertson unconvincing so far (in my opinion) and Byrne as a decent  defending midfielder but not  the type who will open up defences with passes

Agreed mate. I'd go for kerr Mcinroy if possible.
