Really cannae make up my mind what's going on here with Dundee...Not just the latest update, but the whole process. Are they really in such a state of disarray, or are they just playing around with us & the media, before the leave us all shocked by hitting us with a New Statement like ... After some further talks with Jack Ross, we are happy to announce Jack Ross will be the New Dundee Manager?

I know that is very unlikely (& I don't mean disrespect to the any of the names that seem to have been thrown around at us)...But maybe it is a case of they really are playing a "canny" game this time and hit us with someone really big (Like JR)

If not, and we have reached this stage...Please, jist gie Charlie Adam a phone.

From what I've been told and it's been confirmed in this article is that Peter Leven has been interviewed. He wants the job and is awaiting a text from WGS. He hasn't been told that he's not been successful yet as far as I'm aware.

I thought for a bit that it would be him but it's become a bit of a circus and I really don't know what to think anymore.

I think we are into new territory even for Dundee. I don't actually see this process as a shambles caused by incompetence as some seem to be suggesting. It is a shambles because sometimes trying to recruit someone for a senior role is a shambles. The time it has taken suggests that the various parties aren't moving quickly and that might be for legitimate reasons from either or both sides.

I get a bit frustrated at suggestions the club or JS & GS don't know what they are doing, but I honestly don't see evidence for that. Their judgement may not always be fantastic, but to use the delay in finding a new manager as another example of the uselessness of club leadership is unfair. Unless at least half my attempts at recruitment these past 30 odd years have been useless as well. It seldom goes to plan and usually takes much longer than anyone even though possible.

I would like more urgency. I would either like to know who was in the running for a fact, or nothing at all. I enjoy the speculation though even when it is pretending to be journalism.

Gavin Rae is an interesting shout, but I don't know anything about the Leven boy. Mind you anyone but Jack Ross will be a disappointment for me.

Gavin Rae?! Wont even mention his lack of experience,but he and his family have emigrated to Australia. Would they really come back for the Dundee job?

Unsurprising and  scarily believable. That would be the McPake disaster all over again. IF it turned out to be true. Sounds to me like a journalist reading this forum though.
