I see there is a lot of talk about this on Twitter and social media right now.

Advocating that there should be a limit of £20 for away fans at games.

Thought this was a very, very outside the box and clever deal from Reading but the uptake shows you what we are working with. And these are clubs that have a much bigger infrastructure than pretty much most Scottish clubs.

Good idea especially with the current cost of living crisis. 
hard to get all clubs to agree though, as Reading have found out.

I think that it is a sad day when trying to help people (with the current cost of living climate) get into games more by dropping the price or bringing in some pricing standard for away games.

I voted no, no - not because I think current prices are reasonable. I’d love to see gate prices much lower.

Football clubs are facing the same huge cost challenges - fuel, utilities, upward wage pressures etc. I hate to think of the cost to heat water at most clubs.

Thus I’m of the opinion that the clubs then have to be free to decide how best to balance the books.  Football demand is inelastic, you can cut the price by 25% and bet on not seeing anything like 25% more fans. 

If the league body could do better at raising sponsorship then for clubs like ours that would probably be the best way to help keep gate prices down.

Letting the old firm decide the split on tv money, not splitting gate money 50/50, poor sponsorship deals have all contributed to clubs covering their costs by charging fans more.

We'll easily see £30 a game at Dens as standard before the decade is out, Cat A games will be £35+

Easily with inflation rampant . The question is how many will be there?
