Answering some questions regarding this forum.

Recommended Posts

It has become apparent that the forum needs to address some issues which have been cropping up recently. Some are minor, but some have been causing animosity between members. I don't like doing these type of posts, but it seems we have constantly been repeating ourselves on some of the issues which should be pretty obvious by now (especially if you have been a member of this forum for quite a while).

New Members

New members help bring something new to the forum and helps the community at large.

Back in 2014, I created this forum due to the way people were being treated on another forum. I wanted a place were Dees could meet other like minded Dees, a friendly welcoming environment for everyone regardless of who they are and where they come from.

However, the way many new members have been treated by a small minority is not what I wanted for this place.

The last year or more I have noticed that this forum has become far from what I wanted or intended for this forum. In fact, a small minority have taken it upon themselves to be judge, jury and executioner of every new member registering. Especially if some in that minority have a 'gut' feeling that the person might be an Arab or the new person happens to have a difference of opinion or happens to post something which people do not like or agree with. Many new members have been run off this forum because of the hostile nature of some members of this forum.

This behaviour does nothing more than to cause friction, animosity and a closed forum intolerant to different views, and all this does it makes us a very unwelcoming place to new members. I personally know of Dees who joined this forum and were accused of being Arabs and decided that this forum wasn't for them.  I dread to think how many people come here and see the way people are treated and do not join.

DAB Alert Posts.

The reason we have decided not to allow DAB alert type postings, is due to the fact this does nothing more that create a hostile and toxic environment towards other members. 99% of the time, people base their opinion on their 'Gut Feelings 'with no actual real evidence to back the accusations and this causes arguments on the forum.

As I have already said in this post, this behaviour does nothing more than create a toxic, hostile and unfriendly place to new members.

The moderation team will remove any post which hints at another member being a DAB. Any member who continually ignores repeated requests from the moderator team will be issued a warning for doing so.

No, we do not want Arabs on this forum under any circumstance, and because we ask our members to use the report button doesn't mean we are allowing this to happen either.

We would ask all members to continually be on the look out as you would normally, but to use the report button to make aware of a possible DAB on the forum.

We have a lot of moderation tools which helps us, I am not going to go into details, but we have learnt to trust our tools over gut feelings.

Supporters of other Teams.

We allow other team supporters (Except Arabs) to sign up to the forum. We understand that in a lot of cases, fans of other clubs will sign up to the forum to talk about topics which affected both clubs and we have no issues with this.

We also will ban supporters of other clubs if their sole purpose of creating an account is to cause trouble on this forum.  There is a zero tolerance policy to this type of behaviour and this will result in an immediate ban.

We would like to remind our members to be civil to supporters of other clubs at all times.

Moderator Actions

If the moderators remove a post, it's not because we hate you, have it in for you or we just didn't like your post. There would have been a reason, you may not agree with our decision and while that it understandable, it doesn't mean that you can keep spamming the forum demanding an answer and a reason why.

When we remove a topic or a post, you will receive a DM/Email with an explanation for the moderation and what you can do if you disagree with our decision.

In case you have missed a previous post on this matter, please feel free to read this post here.

Thank you all for you understanding on these matters and we appreciate all your help!
