Byrne's here, fit and ready to play, I'd be surprised if anyone knows where Chapman is never mind his condition.

Clubs can see what they're getting with Byrne. Chapman meanwhile?.

That’s a good point. I guess that freeing up money is the motivating factor behind allowing Byrne to leave. Still can’t quite get my head around this decision though. I’d have thought of McGhee, McGinn and probably McGowan would have made more sense.

No idea mate, but maybe Byrne pushed for the move?  Who knows what goes on inside the dressing room behind doors? (Not our friend Jack Ross apparently!)

Got a feeling that Byrne might not be the only player that we'd allow to leave but that he's probably the available player most likely to get another club quickly and thus freeing up wages.

Announcing that McGinn was available for example would probably only result in us having a less than motivated player on our books as I can't see many clubs desperately willing to take on his contract although I'm sure we'd bite off the hand of anyone showing an interest.

Don't really think Bowyer will be keen on Sheridan (achilles injuries are generally an absolute career killer and one of the worst types of injuries a player can get in terms of causing a steep decline) and Jakubiak either despite what he says in the press but there's a scenario where in a couple of months, he's relying on these players.

Interesting that Cameron is being given a runout. Believe he's getting a bit frustrated but it seems he is in the plans.

I think there are maybe a few players who are either ageing, less mobile or both who GB doesn't see fitting into his short to mid term term plans but who he might have to play out of necessity. This window might see 1 or 2 go, like Byrne, who are not the worst players we've got but who are of more interest to clubs than someone like Sheridan who had that bad injury and been out for practically a season. We may end up playing guys who we don't really want and sacrificing others that we see having more to offer. Ideally the guys not in the plans go but it's probably unlikely that it'll work out that way and that there will be sacrifices made to get others in........imo.
