Anyone else seen this yet and care to explain wtf it's all about?

Joking aside, we went to see it last week and it wasn't until I got home and read the plot synopsis on wiki that I got it. Mind you the sound quality at Cineworld wasn't the best and large parts of the dialogue were just mumbles. Probably going deaf after years of headphone abuse.

Maybe it will become clearer the 2nd time around.

The director said he wanted to use dialogue as a sound effect so it's meant to be inaudible. That puts me right off it.

I don't think I can remember seeing a big movie splitting the critics so much. Empire, the Telegraph and Time Out gave it 5/5 suggesting it's a masterpiece but then others like the Guardian say it's a massive disappointment.

IMDB gave it a 9/10, so it must have done something right somewhere or unless people will watch it because of the lack of good Sci-fi these days.

I came out of it thinking 'ok, I suppose'. I have a feeling though I will enjoy it more 2nd time around. Anyway 1st time around it didn't live up to the billing imo but a good movie nonetheless.

My son went to see it with his friend last week. when I picked them up, I asked my son what he thought of the film. He spent a few minutes enthusiastically telling me what the movie was about and how much he enjoyed it. I then asked his friend what he thought. He said it was sh**e.
