Is the squad we have good enough to get us promoted?

I would like to think yes they are, but at the same time I feel we should have strengthened during this last window.

We have players who are either coming back from injury or are still injured and they will feel like new players.

We also have youngsters who are breaking through who are bringing something new to the squad.... young Cameron and Mulligan to me are really good prospects for the future (We need to get Mulligan signed up for another few years).

What worries me is the lack of a proven striker, as I feel that the ones we have are unproven or too injury prone.

We can still brining in loans from the Premiership until the end of this month... but these will most likely be youngsters that clubs want some game time.

It's practically the same squad that got promoted in 2021, and the league is arguably even weaker now, so yes. We definitely needed and still need more though to be the best team outright, I'm very much not convinced that we are at present.

If we could have brought in a decent striker I think would have a great chance to win this league, hopefully we still can but will be more difficult imo.

Not right now for me, however if the manager can get an effective formation, and gets the players playing together in it, maybe. Also need a proper goal scorer unfortunately.

I think it might be a case of keeping in touch until January then bringing new faces in to make a push for it.

I have serious doubts.

I think if the current squad can show the passion and heart needed to win this league, then we will. We have as good if not better players than every other team in this league. It will be very close as always, but I still believe we can do it.

We've been inconsistent so far but with a new manager, a new style & formation and new players that's probably to be expected. If we can keep in touch with the leaders and somehow get our Shit together then we all know that a run of positive results in this league can be the difference between being contenders and being league winners. Consistency will be the key.

During the cup games I thought we looked pretty good and well drilled with the same group of players.

Two defeats against Partick and Ayr have told us otherwise....

Not convinced this lot is good enough now, the forward options are pretty dire.

If we had strengthened perhaps but now am not so sure.

Was hoping for the type of dominance that Hearts had when they went up.

A strong start it has not been for us.

We are no worse than the rest of the Championship but also no better than most of the teams. If we can put a run of wins together before Christmas and be around the top of the table then we've a great chance to hopefully utilise the next transfer window to strengthen for the run in.

What I do think is that we'll be to weak to beat an SPL team in the playoffs so we must win the league or we'll probably be spending 23/24 in the Championship.

Yes, best squad in the division despite lack of strengthening in the window.

Therefore, should be good enough to win the league.

Would worry about having enough to go via the play offs though.

Likely yes, with additions in January and an overhaul next summer as we would be whacked in the Premiership otherwise
