Didn't that particulary humble and honest poster not admit in the end that he was wrong though?

Wrong for wanting a cash gate at every part of the ground, wanted it then and still want it.

When I said back then, let’s try and make it easy as possible for fans to get into dens, not harder.

I was shouted down, with stuff like, “get to dens earlier in the week for a ticket” “not a real fan if a bit of queuing is all that’s stopping you”

We are stuck with an appalling ticket system, where our fans are the last to be thought of, a tiny welsh club shows you how easy it can be done.

Dens will have 6000 seats empty most weeks, yet we can’t hand over cash to get into a game.

Was crazy then, and it still is.

Maybe off topic slightly but feel it’s worth sharing whilst we are talking tickets.

I received an August 2022 update from Dee4life. In the update Dee4 life met with John Nelms and Greg Fenton to discuss the ongoing ticket issues and queues on match days. Dee4life proposed to “An e-ticketing system that would be FULLY FUNDED BY DEE4life” . The club have chosen not to accept this offer but remain in discussions about alternative projects we might contribute to. 🤡🤡

Sorry, misread yourr post, was meaning I was disagreeing with you back then but eventually came round toi your way of thinking.

I certainly didn't say anyone wasn't a real fan for complaining about a bit of queuing. I did argue that it was the culture of staying in the pub until ten / fifteen minutes before kick off then expecting to get straight to the ticket office and into the ground that was wrong and said people should change that, that's probably the only thing I stand by because everything else you said at the time was spot on.

I read that too; head shaking stuff.

But remember John Nelms is a control freak and all ideas must be his. There's a possibility the system proposed by Dee4Life might be adopted at some point but funded by the club and presented as his idea.

I asked Dee4Life why and have had no response.

With control freaks you've gotta let them think it was their idea in first place, also would want to source and install/run system from idea to finish. Know this just because I was one,now I've accepted the chaos, and relinquished control of my sad little existence.
