Dundee have today confirmed that defender Willie Dyer will leave the club.

Dyer, who was part of the Championship winning side last season, will not be offered a new deal at Dens Park.

The left-back has made 24 appearances for the club this season.

The 28-year-old joined Dundee from Morton in 2013.

A statement released on behalf of the club read: “We would like to thank Willie for all his efforts while at Dens and wish him all the best for the future.â€

Dyer is the sixth player to have been shown the exit door already.

David Clarkson, Paul Heffernan, Kyle Benedictus, Jamie Reid and Iain Davidson have all been confirmed as summer departures.
