In my opinion, its maybe a little unfair to pin the relegation on Nelms, unless you mean by appointing McPake in the first place?

I think by organising a budget that allowed Adam, Cummings and Griffiths to be in the squad at the same time as decent premier standard players with Legzdins, Byrne and McGowan people might argue that we had a budget/squad that should have seen us much more competitive than we were. For huge chunks of the season we were miles off the pace tactically. I would maybe go as far as to say we weren’t looking as fit as other clubs either.
For me the blame for relegation lies solely with coaching/management, however it was Strachan and Nelms that made the appointment.
