HAMILTON ACADEMICAL

Hamilton Academical FC were formed in late 1874 by the Rector and pupils of the local school, thus the unusual name, but they are known universally as The Accies. The club became members of the SFA soon after and began competing in the Scottish Cup and Qualifying Cup and in the early years most games were friendlies or localized cup ties. Membership of the Scottish Football League came in November 1897 when Renton, one of the major clubs in the early days, were forced to resign and Accies were invited to take over their fixtures.

PREVIEW

It’s back to league action this weekend as we travel to take on Hamilton Accies on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Gary Bowyer’s men will look to build on last weekend’s 3-0 SPFL Trust Trophy victory away to TNS and get back to winning way in the cinch Championship.

The sides have met already once this season in the Premier Sports Cup group stage. Dundee ran out 3-0 winners that day with goals from Niall McGinn, Alex Jakubiak and Lyall Cameron.

That’s what meant just recently purchased. When do you hear if it’s “some away matches”?

Not surpringly, the current interest appears to be on the deveolpng plans for the New Stadium...

However, my own fixation at this time,is the success of DFC under GB this season.....I strongly feel, this is the season, where DFC (under GB) can start  showing our rivals, that we are the Club/Team,.ready now for the Big Step-Up to the Prememiership.

It appears to me, that although we have had reasonable start to this season, I think our manager & coach, are still going through a transition period, & still finding their feet in the new challenges, that the Scottish Championship throws at them on a game to game basis..But I still feel they are well up to the task & with the backing of a loyal, determined, hard-working team of players, we will achieve our deam of promotion this season.

i accept alll other Championship Clubs will feel Promotion for them is a real possibility...

But this game agaist Accies should be the game to show our rivals, we mean business.

Full Focus Now Dundee ...Let' Do It:chaplin:

Auld Man Needs a Pick me up Again :bye:

reeally feel this is the season,
