Worst I've seen.

Baffling line up.

Grayson and Mcghee were brutal and play 90.

Byrne,Gowser,Williamson,Mulligan and Anderson must be raging.

No hiding place for Boyer.

5 signings, French and Robinson ok.

Felt for Sheridan today, not a bad shift, created first and a sitter for rudden, one chance and worked the keeper.

He's the least of our problems.

Mcpake was crucified for "tombola teams" , Boyer is worse.

What has Byrne done to him?!

Rant over.

I just cannot believe that with the performances in the last 2 games (2 tough away games) that Byrne has not got near getting on the pitch.  It's so obvious that we need him there but I get the impression that GB would rather play with 10 men than bring him him on.  That isn't down to ability that is personal.

I remain convinced that Byrne and Grayson could do a job as defensive mids in a 4-2-3-1.

Today was another example of why just playing two strikers doesn't mean you will create more chances or score more goals.

One (and only one) of Cameron, McGowan or McMullan must play to add some creativity.  I personally wouldn't have McMullan anywhere near the starting eleven.  Too many times he has been a waste of a jersey and it was apparent to me a long time ago why he spent so much time at Utd on the bench towards the end of his time there.

Cameron, Mulligan and probably Anderson as the '3'.

Rudden (despite his goal) just doesn't do enough.  Weak and in the Simon Murray  camp for being so one footed.  Murray is a far better player though.  Sheridan is far from being match sharp and Robinson just looks so much better than the rest.

Apart from all that everything is Hunky Dory.

Point is, I think there is still a decent team in there but GB just doesn't seem to want to go there.  Todays selection, on the back of Tuesday just smacked of desperation to me.

Can't disagree, squad is more than good enough for this league.

No excuses or nonsense about "not having a budget"

Only Bowyer knows why McMullan plays every week. I would say that I think that a midfield with Anderson, Mulligan and Cameron is far too light.   Anderson and Cameron started together on Tuesday and  were dreadful. Whether we have suitable alternatives though is debatable. Our recruitment of midfielders has been consistently shocking since the Hartley years, probably with Kamara as the only exception. Why we are not playing Byrne, given the devastatingly poor other options that we have is criminal.

Byrne apparently can't play Bowers system. Unfortunately no one else can either.

Always like to find out what the rank and file fans think so it was interesting to speak to some Arbroath season ticket holders in the pub before the game who didn't hold out much hope pre match . Spoke to the same guys after the game and every single one said Dundee were the worst team they'd seen at Gayfield this season.  None were complimentary about how their team had played but couldn't believe how bad we were especially 2nd half . When honest week in week out opposition fans confirm what you sometimes fear is an overreaction to a performance like that it is indeed worrying.

How can’t byrne play bowyer system? He played all cup games and first 2 league games. He was playing very well against raith before he got injured. He can certainly play in this team he’s proved it the last 3 seasons. What Excatly is the system?

I was informed of this by another poster on here, when I said I couldn't believe Shaun Byrne sat in the stand at the ICT game, when I thought he was a better option than Grayson, given the physicality of the opposition. He never really explained the system or his reply TBH.
