PREVIEW

We are back at the Kilmac Stadium for the first time in a month this Saturday as we take on Ayr United, kick off 3pm.

Ayr currently sit joint top of the division and a win for Gary Bowyer’s men would draw them level on points with the Ayrshire club.

The teams have met once this season already with Ayr coming out on top in the Somerset encounter.

I've made my mind up that I won't be going

Hopefully I eat my words and we romp it but money is tight and when we're getting served the pish we've been getting recently I've to seriously think about what I spend my monies on

Be interesting to see how many pay at the gate for this one

GB seemed to be happy with how we played at Arbroath. Presumably mushy season has started early.

No doubt he'll partner up midfield heavyweights, Mcghee and Grayson in CM again (by heavyweights I mean utter shite).

I'd probably bring back Sharp as Legzdins has cost us 3 goals in 2 games imo. Sharp isn't the answer but his kicking is better and he has better reactions and moves his feet.

Rudden scored last week but Jeffrey Dahmer has a better touch and for a big guy he has the physicality of a one day old daddy long-legs.

If he wants to give us a chance to win the game then he has to move mcghee to CH and French to RB, drop Grayson and Legzdins and play Max, Byrne, Gowser and Robinson.

Arbroath debacle aside Sharps kicking and use of the ball with his feet is miles worse. Thats one of the major reasons I was glad to see Adam back in the team.

Legzdins is better than Sharp and it ain't close for me.

I don't have all the answers but I want Robinson in the team with Rudden. Rudden is starting to prove his worth with goals (3rd best rate in the Championship atm in terms of play time) even if his general play is leaving a lot to be desired.

McMullan on one wing, McCowan on the other. If Byrne's not returning to the starting line-up which I'd like, then I'd go Gowser & Grayson. McGowan & Byrne being my preferred two.

McGhee at CH.

It leaves the same old questions about us being a soft touch in the middle of the park but I don't think there's any decent combination in the middle where we won't have that problem. We built our central midfielders around covering for Charlie Adam's deficiencies therefore we either have a bit of energy or safety first style midfielders with zero creativity either way that's why I have to go back to McGowan.

So probably something like:

                         Legzdins

French -- McGhee -- Ashcroft -- Marshall/Kerr

           McGowan/Byrne -- Grayson

McMullan                                        McCowan

                     Robinson
                                        Rudden

I'll be there.

Might be my last home game for a while depending on the result.

If there ever was a time to get back on track it's now.

If this was a season on FM, I'd consider holidaying it. Already feels like next season should be the exciting one. This one feels like it's going to be full of anger, disappointment and a lot of 'grin and bear it' with the slight hope that we get a positive ending.

Grayson doesn't deserve to start imo.
