It's almost inevitable that Celtic or Rangers,if the come up,will start sniffing around Bain and Stewart.Perfect chance for the owners to say "come back when you're talking serious money".Crap if the end up at another Scottish club but we will have to sell at some point and if the money's right then we should take it imo.

Need EPL money not dross from the bigot brothers. I think the Texans will hang on to get the max and keep the lads here to up their value.

Bain maybe but is he big enough for the EPL?.Cannae see EPL clubs coming in for Stewart,Wighton maybe if he forces his way into our 1st team.

I think a lot of folk get carried away with Stewart, he'll never gain the pace that a player like him needs to make the step up. He'd do decent enough in the English Championsip at the likes of Leeds, I'd imagine.

I'm fairly relaxed about the situation. I consider McGowan and Thomson our most important players in terms of maintaining our current progress (and neither of those two are particularly attractive to other clubs). If Stewart and/or Bain were sold and it significantly boosted our finances I'd be quite confident we could bring in decent replacements without the team suffering too much.

Tbf we have our most saleable assets (Bain and Stewart) on long term contracts. This shows the bod mean business.

Tbh selling one for decent money would be no bad thing if it helps us gain a rep for recouping decent fees.

Wighton would only interest English teams for academy purposes but could still bring in decent wedge

Don't think it's likely at the moment that other clubs will come calling. But it may happen if we get more success. Good to see faith in signing players on longer term contracts so making it more difficult to get them cheaply. Every player has his price and I reckon that we must realise that and get on with it. Not the inflated prices quoted across the road either but sensible amounts depending on the players. Only one in team likely to be a target is Bain I think and only once he has more experience.

I think Dundee FC  and the BOD are becoming more professional with each passing day.

Hope however I am no basing this on the general shambles the ither Club seem tae be in.

We are becoming mair astute, professional, The ither lot are in a state of disarray it seems.

When the selling of our better players does come along, I do think DFC will play hard ball.

Maybe based on no more than a gut feeling, but I think there is a determination aboot DFC.

The board will be strong in negotiations. when wighton signed an extension earlier in the season it was with certain terms to him at half million(think that made him become joint top earner at club if he stayed) then a million (think he gets a cut) bids.glad to see the board putting in property figures into contracts.

Sorry mate, but what is your source for this info? If you know those exact details about a players contract then IMO clearly the club isn't run as professional as being made out surely?
