100% yes. Less daylight hours is bad for humans especially their abilities to create vitamin D from sun exposure. We go to work in the dark, sit in offices (some people) then travel home in the dark.ย

Boring but factual answer.

Number of daylight hours is the same regardless of when the clock says it's 8am.

Boring but just as factual.

I make a point of going out of the office for a walk at lunch time in the winter to at least see some daylight.

Totally incorrect mate.

There are less daylight hours in the winter. A winter night in the UK can be as much as 17 hrs, the average daylight is around 8hrs.ย

When I worked 12hr shifts in the Michelin I left the house at 06.10am (05.10am with clock change) and didn't get out until at least 19.00pm or 18.00pm with the clock change.ย

Number of daylight hours is the same on any given date regardless of whether the clocks go back or not was what I meant.

I used to work 12 hour continentals. When the clocks went back and you were on Sunday night you left at the end of the 12 hours not when the clock turned 7am so really made no difference except that the clock said 6am (I think that's the way it worked). Likewise when they went forward and you were on that Sunday night you finished at the end of the 12 hours (8am) not when the clock turned 7am.

Got two bairns freaking out right now as they donโ€™t understand it. โ€˜So what time is it really?โ€™, โ€˜So what time was it at this time yesterday?โ€™, โ€˜So what time do we go to bed?โ€™ย ๐Ÿ™„ย

Gieโ€™s peace and bin the change please!ย

Farmers up north still need the change, completely pointless for us down here in civilisation though
