My hunch is that Irvine will stay due to the fact that he has enjoyed his football this year and is pretty well liked here.

McAllister is rumoured to not be the happiest under Hartley (there was that fall out rumour at the start of the season) and although it could be a lot of nonsense, I don't think it's come from nowhere. He might think that he may get a 2 year deal from Killie (which is a lot closer to his home) and a combination of that and the fact he won't feature as much this season will see him depart.

McGinn will stay because of his brother and the fact that he's in no position to command a bigger club.

I'm happy with all 3 getting signed up. McGinn clearly has something about him, just hasn't shown it at Dens yet but he was considered a very promising talent just a couple of year back. Wouldn't be fussed if he rejected it, mind you. Delighted to see Irvine offered a deal and again, non-plussed with McAlister being offered a deal, but does give us a squad with a lot more depth.

Hope all would stay as they can all win silverware this year maybe.

All offer something. McGinn is maybe being offered in sentiment. Hopefully we get John.

Think we're pretty much out of the running for John. Going to cost around £300k for the club that does get him (Although I believe it's cheaper if an English club snaps him up for some reason) and clubs like Wigan and even Celtic have been monitoring him.

McGinn has been shyte. Hopefully he gets offered a two-year deal elsewhere. We need width and pace in the team, he doesn't offer either of them so I'd rather the wage was better used in other areas.

I'm not sure what qualities he had that impressed teams when he was younger but I've seen none of them so far. Slow, cumbersome, and doesn't have a particularly great touch. He doesn't seem to be a playmaker, ball-winner, box-to-box or get-beyond-the-strikers type. Completely at a loss to understand why anyone would offer him a contract based on what he's done in his time at Dens.
