It looks like we're promoting less of the 17s and picking up players from other clubs more now.

And who's to say this isn't a better method given the low numbers of good quality youngsters coming through into the first team In the last 5 years.

We've picked up Andy black of hibs, priest of wolves, Dryden of Derby, gemmell of alloa, breen from Ireland, carreiro from qpr. Hopefully a few of them develop into first teamers along with some of our own.

I have high hopes for gourlay, allan, waddell, kerr and Wighton who have come through the ranks.

Can't see our academy being aloud into the elite level cause we would need to replace all the level 4 youth coaches who have left in the aftermath of the Gerry creaney appointment - john Mclashan Ray Framingham Gavin burns Craig ferret and more ! That's why the kids don't have the same coach each week ! - they don't have enough of them !
