Is what we lack imo. A lot of neat play all season but lack s killer pass or cross. Harkins has it but not fit enough or available enough throughout the season. We need someone like the boy Allen at hibs. he would fit in nicely in Hartleys formation. Would demand a fee though

Agreed. We are good in possession but other than when Harkins plays, we really struggle to pick out a good medium or long pass to open things up as you say.

We really are short of match winners in our team, rarely have we had somebody that produced that little bit of magic to turn games our way.

A big target man that's good in the air and can hold up play would have made a big difference on Sunday.

I think its all tied together with the lack of pace and width (sorry yes this again)

In the 6-2 game you saw Harkin lose posession time after time because he had nothing to hit to his left or right. Trying to play through team is nigh on impossible as we proved v Ross COunty this year when they were down to 10. Ball players need targets to hit.

Pace to hit on the break and natural width to stretch teams allows your creative players to do their stuff, not trying to thread the eye of a needle all the time.

Look at how much Jockys side improved in the first season when we brought in Boyack and then in the second season when we brought in Harry.

We need pace and width next season. It's very clear from the game yesterday.  The long ball over the top for United players to run on to seemed to cause us major problems too.

I think we need a big 6ft 4 defender to help McPake out.  The good thing is that I think we will have the firepower with Hemmings and Loy  going forward  but will require pacey wingers to beat their man and get the ball across.

Think pre season we where sold on the idea that Ferry n Mcgowan where going to be creative.

Mcgowans all about work rate while Ferry is done.

Do agree that a midfield player who gets forward is needed - far too stale in centre mid.

PH will not bring in pacey wingers (imo) he`ll continue to play games through the middle

Im sure we aw agree that having 2 pacy wingers would also make us more exciting to watch anaw
