Canberrans have woken to sub-zero temperatures this week with the run of cold mornings set to keep early birds struggling to roll out of bed.

Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are expected to drop to -2 degrees and 0 degrees respectively after a weekend of chilling minimum temperatures.

The Bureau of Meteorology's Andrew Treloar said Sunday morning's minimum fell to a biting -5.8 degrees just after 7am, more than 5 degrees below May's average minimum temperature of -0.2 degrees.

No , what you're looking at is the glassy water of the lake on the left of the bridge , directly under the bridge is the top of the spillway. and on the right of the bridge is the downstream valley.
