So many people mentioning this. Surely has to happen?

Will be honest, I've never really took a great deal of interest in Palace even with Speroni being down their all these years. I have known for a while though that they have a loud vocal support behind that goal, one of the best in the Premiership.

Their fans seem top class from the countless comments made about our support and club since yesterday. They come accross as real fanatics. I remember it was the same on the Dundee Mad messageboard back in 2001 when we signed Fan Zhyi when loads of Palace fans signed up and started posting away. Had never seen anything like it and hadn't seen anything like it since until today with loads of them signing up to this forum. Again, they really do seem like a top class fanatical down to earth support.

So, is there a window for this to happen this pre season or would it be during the actual season?

Palace's average home support is just over 3 times larger than ours so with us brining 1760 fans down to them last night, they should be aiming to take at least 5280 up to Dens using the same ratio ;)

I really hope it does. Although I wasn't there yesterday, I felt extremely proud to be a Dee. It was so great to see all those tweets of praise. I'd like us to return the favour and to meet some of these guys! The Man City game was fun, Palace should be even better. If we got them, why can't we get Palace?

I've always had a soft spot for them. My mum's cousin's husband came up from London when I was about 4 and was this massive Palace fan. I've always thought of him when I hear of them. Speroni going there was great and now the links are stronger. They are now definitely my second team!

I'd be wary of a return fixture, I don't think a match could capture the feeling that was present there yesterday. Don't want to dilute or diminish the feeling the two clubs have as it was truly special last night!

I reckon us and the palace lads should have a conga / pub crawl down the hulltoon.

Sounds good Wattie but not sure we'd be able to uphold our reputation from last night's sing along.

I was speaking to a Palace fan and his young lad on the way to the train station after the game and they praised the noise and size of the Dundee crowd and that they thoroughly enjoyed their evening. Apparently they don't like Brighton very much!!!!

Don't be a feeling hog!

A home game would be just the same as any run of the mill friendly IMO and could potentially be a damp squib. The old legends etc the wouldn't turn out and it wouldn't have the same sense of occasion. I think it would be nigh on impossible to recreate that again, unless Willie Dyer has just signed a 10 year deal at Selhurst and we can do it all again in 2025!

As illustrated by Tommy Coynes return to Dens, it's never the same twice.

For me fans create the atmosphere. Although we are at home it would be similar to Tuesday in that the Palace fans were not the loudest.

We as a home team need a loud away support of we don't make any noise.

Prefect recipe for a great game. Plus we are building ties with a decent team down south for loans etc.

Agreed. I for one would love to come up (never been to Scotland) and enjoy some more friendly banter with you guys. It could also help forge links between the two clubs. Even later for us to help with loanees to push the Dee,s on.
