I don't want CD but I do wonder how much backing he got from the SJ board with respect to budget for players?

It was more reminiscent of us losing Hemmings and Stewart. Best players sold at midnight with funding not provided to replace. 
January window isn’t really the best way to judge any manager as we know.

According to Wiki, only Rudden after bringing in 12 players in the summer which includes Nicky Clark that they paid a fee for.
